Concept

Much more than transitional spaces that lead to other rooms, hallways form an important part of our homes – and yet they’re easily overlooked in terms of design, often becoming little more than a functional corridor that no one really lingers in or remembers.

To inspire your creativity, we’ve designed a hallway that functions on multiple levels. Still a high-traffic area, the space has been divided into two distinct zones, making it a more dynamic area in which to spend time. The first is a seating area that’s composed of twin SAMARA armchairs, which use contrast piping to emphasise the design’s subtly scalloped silhouette, and a double-volume SEATTLE side table, which introduces an interesting materiality through its blend of glossy wood veneer, stone and brushed brass. Established window-side, this arrangement provides the perfect spot in which to relax, read or chat on the phone.

Opposite, a versatile organisational corner accessorises our alluring OKAYAMA console, which layers different shades of solid wood and veneer to define its silhouette, with a sculptural CORFU table lamp, circular DURBAN mirror and upholstered BURGOS stool, offering a place to focus on bills, homework, hobbies or remote working.

Displayed amongst all of these functional furniture designs are artworks, books, ornaments and plants – an assortment of things that instantly make a space such as a hallway feel more homely.

Of course, in terms of décor, hallways also have to work perfectly with the rooms that lead off them, which is why we opted for a timeless palette of organic, neutral hues, with lowlights of rich, dark wood and highlights of glistening brushed brass. The result is a space that feels calm, collected and is a joy to spend time in.
