Push the Boundaries

At FRATO, we like to push the boundaries of established thinking around how we live and shop for interior design. In pursuit of this, we’re unveiling a brand-new product line within our collection of classic-meets-contemporary furniture: Pedestal Tables.

Bridging the gap between consoles and dining tables, this standalone genre encompasses elegant designs that incorporate a single, sculptural base and a well-proportioned circular or square top.

Primarily intended to be used for display space or as an impromptu surface in entries or hallways, our poised pedestal tables provide a sculptural focal point while facilitating the sense of circulation and flow that’s necessary in such transitional spaces.

Designed with versatility in mind, our pedestal tables are also suited to life in informal dining spaces, such as a breakfast nook or kitchen anteroom. Offering the most legroom, pedestal tables create a more relaxed atmosphere compared to traditional dining set-ups as there’s no head of the table. They also allow you to accommodate an uneven number of guests while maintaining a balanced seating plan, facilitating the sharing of food and encouraging the whole table to chat.

Incorporating six different designs, each piece within our new product line possesses unique qualities that combine to create a collection that’s bursting with character. Click the images for more details!

The darkly dramatic PINOT II, which mesmerises with its noirish minimalism. The stylish TREVISO, the pedestal of which hints at an alternative silhouette.  The immaculate RAIPUR, which brings a touch of the extraordinary to everyday living. The graceful SENDAI, distinguished by its paired back top and showstopping base. The CADIZ, with its streamlined silhouette and layered approach to materials. The square-topped, art deco-style BERGAMO, which exudes pure glamour.
