With the solstice comes the news that summer is officially here. We’re looking forward to warm days, vibrant sunsets and an excuse to overhaul our decor. This week, we’re taking a closer look at the inspiration behind our latest season – read on for inspiration. This summer, we’re keeping the colour palette warm. We’ve combined rich jewel-inspired shades like indigo blue, berry red and burnt orange and combined then with natural hues like botanical green and soft bamboo yellow.
When it comes to prints and patterns, we’ve focused on the garden. Think big, blooms that transport you to the countryside and wild foliage that conjures thoughts of the jungle. For this, we’ve looked to far-flung destinations for inspiration, whether that’s a scrap of floral silk from our latest trip to japan or a tapestry from India.
We’ve combined textures, too, mixing soft cottons and linens with materials like rattan. Embellishments are simple yet statement, from embroidered leaves to oversized tassels. Et voilà – summer, we’re ready for you.
